Karl Ens – Porcelain Pheasant – 1919-1940’s
One of two very fine pheasants. Wonderful colors, glossy, and
good details. Karl Ens was a German porcelain manufacturer famous for its
fine, handmade porcelain birds. Pheasant is in excellent condition. Signed on
the underside with the green Karl Ens mark used before World War II (it was
later changed to blue); and impressed numerals: 6796 II 2. Measurements approximately:
7" long x 4,5" high x 2.5" wide. Weight: 0.46 lbs. (230 grams).
