I fell in love with antiques at around 1980. At that time I lived in Germany, and I started to collect antique furniture. I’m specially fond of Biedermeier furniture. The time frame for Biedermeier was from 1815-1848 and included the states of the German Federation and the Austrian Empire. I love Biedermeier furniture because it is very stylish, has a puristic elegance, and can be easily arranged with modern furniture.

I received my first collectible figurine from my mother. My mother had bought the figurine when I was born. It is the figurine found on top of my homepage, and it is not for sale. I believe this figurine inspired me to collect porcelain figurines. Over the years I developed a passion for porcelain figurines. The figurines I collected are mostly made in Germany.

But I didn't collect only figurines. I also enjoy quality costume jewelry from the early years and other items that I consider my treasure. I have been selling antiques & collectibles avocational, as my hobby business on and off for the past 14 years, in different antique malls. Now, I’m offering my collectibles online.

Collecting connects to and reminds us of our and others past - before the painting was the creator - though the creator is not around anymore, the existence cannot be denied. The same goes for our ancestors. Though they are not around, we are their product and give them due respect for their achievements. I'm also honoring my ancestors with my family search site that is accessible under my Portal site.
